January

It's 2009 and our family has hit the ground runnin' like Forrest. Lydia's been to her 4 mo. Dr. visit and gotten her first report card. They gave us an actual report card that tells us she's now a whopping 12 lbs 15 oz, 25 1/4" tall and as healthy as she can be. She took her new round of immunizations like a champ and no side effects. The doctor also said it's fine to start her on solids now. That's fun for all parties involved. She's not having any trouble with her new talent; she even likes her peas! Mom wants to start making the baby's food herself so Lydia's in for a treat. Dad has started school again with 3 classes (2 after work and 1 online). Mom and baby get Tuesdays and Thursdays to themselves for the semester, and hopefully next semester dad can take all online classes. He really wants to be home as much as possible.

Halloween

Lydia slept through most of her 1st Halloween, but we got some good pictures. We had the best turnout from trick or treaters in three years this year. We actually ran out of candy and had to cut the lights off. Next year we'll be better prepared, and if the kids don't come, more for us.

Nov. 1st we met GG and Grandpa at IHOP for breakfast. Afterwards, they took Lydia home with them while Amanda and I went for an afternoon out together. We went to Marietta Square and checked out all of the shops; antique stores mostly. We saw a lot of things that we'd like to get but only bought a Coke. There's a nice park in the middle of the square where we can't wait to take Lydia in the spring when the weather's warmer.

After the park we went to GG's for a while. We had a great time hangin and talking with the family. Lydia took a nap with Grandpa and GG had a bag of groceries for us to take home. We hardly ever leave thier house without a bag of goodies.
